A dog named Tippy got into a tight spot when he crawled behind a toilet in his home in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and got stuck.
His owners tried to free him but were unsuccessful, so they called the fire department for help.
Firefighters from Station 21 arrived on the scene and managed to pull Tippy out of his predicament using some tools and gentle persuasion.
The fire department shared a video of the rescue on its Facebook page, showing Tippy wagging his tail and licking his rescuers after being freed.
The post said: “Tippy was well and truly stuck, but with some ingenuity and some gentle encouragement, he was freed. He was very happy to be out and gave lots of kisses to show his appreciation.”
The fire department also reminded pet owners to keep an eye on their furry friends and make sure they don’t get into trouble.
“Pets are curious by nature, so please make sure they are safe when you are not home,” the post said.
