Drew Barrymore and Reneé Rapp had a scary moment during their interview at the 92nd Street Y in New York City on Monday night. An audience member shouted Barrymore’s name and approached the stage, claiming he needed to see her while she was in New York.
Security guards intervened and escorted the man out of the venue, while Rapp put her arm around Barrymore and took her backstage. The incident was captured on video and shared on social media.
Barrymore and Rapp returned to the stage shortly after and resumed their conversation. Barrymore praised Rapp for being protective and sexy, and compared her to Kevin Costner in “The Bodyguard”. The two hugged and laughed off the situation.
Barrymore and Rapp were at the 92nd Street Y to promote Rapp’s debut album “Snow Angel”. Rapp is also a singer and actress who stars in “The Sex Lives of College Girls”.
