Future Today, a streaming programmer, announced a deal with TCL, a smart TV manufacturer, to launch five channels on TCL’s new ad-supported video on demand (AVOD) platform. The channels include HappyKids, ifood.tv, Fawsome, FilmRise and The Asylum.
HappyKids is a channel for children of all ages, featuring cartoons, nursery rhymes, educational shows and more. ifood.tv is a channel for food lovers, offering recipes, cooking tips, health and nutrition advice and more. Fawsome is a channel for animal lovers, showcasing documentaries, wildlife shows, pet care and more. FilmRise is a channel for movie buffs, offering a curated selection of films from various genres and eras. The Asylum is a channel for fans of low-budget horror, sci-fi and action movies, featuring titles such as Sharknado, Z Nation and Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus.
The deal is part of Future Today’s strategy to expand its distribution and reach more viewers across different devices and platforms. Future Today currently operates over 700 channels and reaches over 100 million monthly viewers. TCL is one of the leading smart TV brands in the US, with over 40 million active users.
