Gal Gadot is back in action as a spy on a dangerous mission in the trailer for Heart of Stone, a new Netflix thriller.
The trailer, which debuted on Saturday during Netflix’s Tudum fan event, shows Gadot as Evelyn Stone, a member of a top-secret organization that recruits her for a high-stakes operation.
She is paired with an agent named Martin (Jamie Dornan), who seems to have feelings for her, but she warns him that she is not looking for love.
‘I don’t have a heart,’ she says. ‘I gave it up a long time ago.’
The trailer also features Alia Bhatt and Sophie Okonedo as other members of the organization, who give Stone her orders and monitor her progress.
Stone faces various obstacles and enemies along the way, including car chases, explosions, gunfights, and hand-to-hand combat.
The trailer ends with a twist that reveals that Stone may have a hidden agenda of her own.
Heart of Stone is directed by Tom Harper and written by Greg Rucka and Allison Schroeder. It is produced by Gadot, Jaron Varsano, Charles Roven, Richard Suckle, and Skydance’s David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger.
The film is set to premiere on Netflix on Aug. 11, 2023.
