Gal Gadot is back in action as a spy on a dangerous mission in ‘Heart of Stone’, a new Netflix film coming out on Aug. 11. The trailer for the movie was released on Saturday during Netflix’s TUDUM fan event, and it promises a lot of suspense, intrigue and explosions.
Gadot plays Sarah Stone, a member of a top-secret organization that recruits her for a high-stakes assignment. She teams up with Jamie Dornan, Alia Bhatt and Sophie Okonedo, who play her fellow agents, to infiltrate a global conspiracy that threatens the world. Along the way, she faces enemies, allies and betrayals, as well as some personal demons from her past.
‘Heart of Stone’ is directed by Tom Harper, who previously helmed ‘The Aeronauts’ and ‘Wild Rose’. The script is written by Greg Rucka and Allison Schroeder, based on a story by Rucka. Gadot also serves as a producer on the film, along with David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, Bonnie Curtis and Julie Lynn.
The movie is part of Netflix’s slate of original films for 2023, which includes ‘The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf’, ‘Red Notice’, ‘Don’t Look Up’, ‘The Harder They Fall’ and ‘The Power of the Dog’. Netflix has been investing heavily in producing and acquiring blockbuster movies, as well as expanding its global reach and diversity.
Gadot is best known for playing Wonder Woman in the DC Extended Universe films, as well as starring in ‘Fast & Furious’ and ‘Ralph Breaks the Internet’. She will next be seen in ‘Death on the Nile’, ‘Cleopatra’ and ‘Wonder Woman 3’.
