Rock star Jack White has slammed several famous personalities for ‘normalizing’ their interactions with former president Donald Trump, whom he called a ‘disgusting fascist, racist, con man, disgusting piece of shit’.
White, the frontman of The White Stripes, posted a series of photos on his Instagram account on Monday, showing Trump posing with celebrities like Mel Gibson, Mark Wahlberg, Guy Fieri and Joe Rogan at a UFC event in Las Vegas over the weekend.
‘Anybody who ‘normalizes’ or treats this disgusting fascist, racist, con man, disgusting piece of shit Trump with any level of respect is ALSO disgusting in my book,’ White wrote. ‘That’s you Joe Rogan, you Mel Gibson, you Mark Wahlberg, you Guy Fieri.’
White also disabled the comment section of his post, saying ‘This is a statement from me, not a discussion/debate’.
White has been vocal in his criticism of Trump for a long time. Last year, he quit Twitter after accusing then-CEO Elon Musk of giving Trump his platform back. He also accused Rogan and other wealthy celebrities of supporting Trump for tax reasons.
White’s new single, ‘Taking Me Back’, was released on Monday and featured in the trailer for the upcoming video game Call of Duty: Vanguard. The song showcases White’s signature rock sound with experimental guitar effects.
