Packers beat Seahawks 24-10 in preseason finale

The Green Bay Packers ended their preseason with a 24-10 victory over the Seattle Seahawks on Saturday at Lambeau Field. Quarterback Jordan Love made his second start of the preseason and completed 12 of 17 passes for 149 yards and a touchdown. He led the Packers to two scoring drives in the first half, including a 22-yard touchdown pass to Malik Taylor in the second quarter.

The Seahawks, who rested most of their starters, struggled to move the ball against the Packers’ defense. They managed only 174 total yards and 11 first downs. Geno Smith started at quarterback and went 4 of 7 for 33 yards. He was sacked twice and lost a fumble. Alex McGough replaced him in the second half and threw a touchdown pass to Aaron Fuller in the fourth quarter.

The Packers’ defense recorded four sacks, two interceptions and a fumble recovery. Rookie linebacker Isaiah McDuffie led the team with eight tackles and a sack. Cornerback Kabion Ento had an interception and a pass breakup. Defensive lineman Jack Heflin recovered a fumble and had a tackle for loss.

The Packers improved to 2-1 in the preseason and will open their regular season on Sept. 10 at Chicago. The Seahawks fell to 2-1 in the preseason and will host Indianapolis on Sept. 10 in their regular season opener.
