The 2023 T-Mobile Home Run Derby will take place on July 10 at T-Mobile Park in Seattle, featuring some of the best sluggers in the game.
Julio Rodríguez of the Seattle Mariners, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. of the Toronto Blue Jays, Mookie Betts of the Los Angeles Dodgers, Randy Arozarena of the Tampa Bay Rays, Pete Alonso of the New York Mets and Adley Rutschman of the Baltimore Orioles have confirmed their participation in the event, which will be broadcast live on ESPN at 8 p.m. ET.
Rodríguez, who electrified the crowd with 81 homers in last year’s Derby, will have the home-field advantage as he tries to win his first title. Guerrero, who set records for most homers in a round (40) and in a Derby (91) in 2019, will look to join his father as a Derby champion. Betts, a seven-time All-Star and two-time World Series winner, will make his Derby debut after being persuaded by his wife. Arozarena, the 2021 AL Rookie of the Year, will be the third Rays player ever to take part in the event. Alonso, a two-time Derby winner, will aim to become the first player to win three consecutive Derbies and tie Ken Griffey Jr. for most titles overall. Rutschman, a star catcher and first-time All-Star, will represent the Orioles for the first time since 2016.
The Derby will precede the 93rd MLB All-Star Game, which will be played on July 11 at 8 p.m. ET on FOX and the FOX Sports app.
