Salesforce, the world’s leading CRM platform, has launched a new cloud service that leverages artificial intelligence (AI) to help organizations measure and improve their social and environmental impact.
The service, called Salesforce Impact Cloud, is designed to help nonprofits, foundations, corporations, governments, and educational institutions track and report on their progress towards the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are a set of 17 global objectives to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure peace and prosperity for all by 2030.
Salesforce Impact Cloud uses AI to analyze data from various sources, such as surveys, social media, sensors, and satellites, and provide insights and recommendations on how to optimize the impact of different programs and initiatives. For example, the service can help an organization identify the most effective interventions to reduce child mortality, increase access to clean water, or promote gender equality.
The service also enables organizations to collaborate and share best practices with other impact-focused stakeholders, such as donors, partners, beneficiaries, and regulators. Additionally, the service allows organizations to create engaging stories and visualizations that showcase their impact and inspire others to join their cause.
Salesforce Impact Cloud is built on the Salesforce Platform, which means it can integrate with other Salesforce products and services, such as Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud, Salesforce Philanthropy Cloud, Salesforce Education Cloud, and Salesforce Sustainability Cloud. The service is also compatible with external data sources and tools, such as Tableau, Google Analytics, and Microsoft Power BI.
Salesforce Impact Cloud is currently in pilot phase with select customers and partners, such as UNICEF, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Teach For All, and Conservation International. The service is expected to be generally available in 2023.
