Paige Jaeger, a technical director for the Minnesota Vikings, had a special moment before the team’s preseason finale against the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday.
Jaeger, who usually works behind the scenes at the US Bank Stadium, got to showcase her singing talent by performing the National Anthem in front of thousands of fans and players.
She delivered a stunning rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner, earning a loud applause from the crowd and praise from her colleagues.
After singing, she quickly ran back to her booth to resume her duties as the technical director, making sure everything ran smoothly during the game.
The Vikings X account posted a video on Twitter that captured her journey from singing to working, calling her “a star on and off the field.”
The video also featured some of her co-workers and players expressing their admiration for her talent and professionalism.
“She’s amazing. She’s got an incredible voice,” said Vikings radio play-by-play announcer Paul Allen.
“She did a great job. She’s awesome,” said Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins.
Jaeger said she was honored and grateful for the opportunity to sing the National Anthem, something she had always dreamed of doing.
“It was surreal. It was a bucket list item for me,” she said. “I’m just so thankful that they gave me this chance.”
